28 YEARS OF GOALTENDING DEVELOPMENT

Experience matters—especially in a position as specialized as goaltending.

Our coaching philosophy has been shaped by more than 28 years of goalie development experience, including work with athletes who have competed at the NHL, WHL, BCHL, and other levels of the game.

From young goalies developing their foundation to experienced athletes refining advanced elements of their game, Vancouver Goaltending Inc. meets athletes where they are and helps them understand what it takes to keep progressing.

DETAIL.

The smallest adjustments can make the biggest difference.

Through focused instruction and repetition, those adjustments begin to become habits an athlete can rely on.

Master the details in training. Trust them in the game.

PURPOSE.

Every drill should have a reason.

Athletes should understand what they're working on, why they're working on it, and where it applies in the game.

That understanding changes the way an athlete trains.

Train with purpose.

PERFORMANCE.

Training has to translate when the puck drops.

Out training progressively connects technical skills with game-specific situations, helping athletes learn when to apply their movement, positioning, reads, and save selections.

Train it. Build it. Trust it.

GOALTENDING DEVELOPMENT

goes far beyond technique.

At Vancouver Goaltending Inc. we take a deliberate approach to goalie development.

We teach athletes to understand:

  • How they move

  • Why they make a save

  • How the decisions they make in training translate into performance on the ice.

Every athlete is different. Every stage of development is different.

That's why our coaching is built around the individual—not a one-size-fits-all system.
